- It will take you 35 minutes to get there and along the way, you can admire the crystal clear waters of the lake, picturesque lakeside towns, and snow-capped mountains.
- Upon reaching Évian, take your time to walk along the lovely lake promenade or explore the winding streets of the old town.
- One of the must-see sites when in Evian is the Cachat Spring, the first source of Evian water.
- It is named after Gabriel Cachat, the owner of the garden in which it flowed at the end of the 18th century.
- Today, the spring belongs to the Evian mineral water company, and you can even fill your bottle with "free" Evian mineral water here.
- Other interesting things to do here include exploring the Palais Lumière Museum and going on a ride on the historic funicular (cable railway).
